| Philip Ball is a writer who examines the interactions between science, culture and society. His book Critical Mass, which examined the "physics of society", won the 2005 Aventis Prize for Science Books. He is currently writing a short book on social complexity for the FuturICT project (www.futurict.eu), which is in a pilot stage while competing for €1 billion of funding within the EU's Flagship Initiative. |
